Pros

Of course, the many functions we mentioned were part of its features. But there are other great things about this bread making machine. 

For one, it’s aesthetically pleasing to look at. You won’t have any trouble displaying it on your kitchen counter. It’s stainless steel exterior not only looks good but ensures that it’s durable, too.

Another benefit is its dimensions. With a height of 12 in, a width of 13½ in, and length of 8½ in, there’s no problem with kitchen counter space. It can fit in almost any kitchen setup. 

To add to that, there’s a large viewing window at the top. Who doesn’t like peeping in now and then to see the bread rising? Many people tend to downplay a viewing window, but it’s a great benefit to have when you need visual confirmation that everything is going well.

Also, it comes with helpful accessories, especially great for new bread bakers. You get an adjustable measuring spoon, a measuring cup, and a bread recipe book along with the machine. 

What else? It’s very affordable when compared to other bread makers with the same functions and features. 

We’ll say it again and again, we love that Breadman makes it so easy and convenient for you! This is one of its greatest benefits. 

But do you know what’s the best benefit of all? 

It makes delicious, top-quality bread all the time!

Cons

The Breadman is not a perfect appliance, though. As with any other kitchen appliance, there are some downsides. 

The biggest one has to do with the kneading paddle. 

When it turns to mix the ingredients, it scrapes against the bottom of the baking pan. Of course, this can ruin your baking pan. 

The worst thing about this is that it can chip off some of the pan’s Teflon coating.

However, this is a hit-or-miss downside. Not all Breadman BK1050S seem to have this problem. It tends to happen when someone is still getting used to working with the collapsible paddle and baking functions and ends up overfilling the bread pan. That’s why it’s important to follow the recipe book and use the measuring cup.

Another downside is that the rapid baking cycle isn’t that great when compared to regular baking. Well, you can’t expect to bake whole wheat bread in a few short minutes and have it the same quality as whole wheat bread baked in the regular setting, can you? 

Then, there’s the LCD display. Since it doesn’t light up, it’ll be hard to see and read what’s on the screen. 

Finally, this bread machine is rather loud. It has a sort of rattling sound during the mixing process. 

All of these cons are valid concerns. However, we find that when we follow the recipe book, or at least recipes online that are specific to the Breadman BK1050S, the majority of these cons don’t really apply.
