Smart Element IQ®
What exactly is Element IQ?
Element IQ is a unique feature of Breville Smart Ovens. It’s basically smart cooking technology that this oven will use to ensure food is cooking at the right temperature.
Typically, when an oven is set to 400 degrees, they just blast hot air until the internal temperature hits 400 degrees, then it stops blasting so much to ensure it maintains it.
With Element IQ, Breville smart ovens ensure even cooking by pulsing quick bursts of heat to ensure that the temperature inside the entire oven stays at a temperature that ensures even cooking.
This is what makes the Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven so unique and powerful for a small countertop toaster oven.
This Smart Oven features convection that is automatically powered every time you use it.
That means that you don’t have to think about it, just use it and you’ll hear the convection fan turn on automatically.
Convection just means that there’s an inbuilt fan that circulates hot air (thereby removing cold air around your food) and ensures that food cooks fast and toasts evenly.
This is a powerful feature because it’ll automatically reduce cooking time with each cooking cycle.
LCD displays allow you to access a wide array of smart features, and you can choose from 9 cooking functions.
Is the Breville Smart Oven worth the money?
No doubt that this Smart Oven from Breville is a high-end small countertop oven that is user-friendly and looks great. You can easily purchase it on the Breville website or on Amazon.
However, is it worth the money?
Unfortunately, I just don’t think that this toaster oven is worth the money.
It’s very expensive and although Breville makes good-looking products, this smart oven doesn’t do anything better or special than another, less expensive toaster oven can do.
Is Breville better than Cuisinart?
Breville is known to produce high-end kitchen appliances that are user-friendly and look great on your kitchen countertop. However, they do still have competitors and this toaster oven in specific has one that it usually ends up going head to head with.
Believe it or not, this Breville toaster oven does have a competitor!
The competitor is the Cuisinart TOB-260N1 Convection Oven.
Although Cuisinart isn’t known to be a high-end brand, it does make durable and innovative kitchen appliances, and this small countertop oven is no different.
This is actually about as much as the Breville while having more features (actually also includes a pizza pan and a pizza cooking setting). However, it seems to be more durable and longer-lasting.
Out of all the toaster ovens on the market, it’ll be hard to beat the Cuisinart.
Is Breville coming out with a new oven?
Breville has a large lineup of high-quality kitchen appliances and will call all of them a “Smart Oven” of some sort. So you might see 5-6 Smart Ovens on the market.
They also do release new products periodically but that shouldn’t stop you from buying now.
Wrapping up with the Breville Smart Toaster Oven BOV800XL Review
This is the toaster oven that you can easily access through the oven door and that also roasts succulent meat, reducing cooking time, and even allowing you to quickly get started baking pizza in your pizza pan.
No food is out of the question with this best toaster oven.
And if that wasn’t enough, Breville has a feature that allows you to use their app and visualize what their appliances look like on your kitchen counter!
Nothing is impossible for Breville.
Interested in one of the highest quality best toaster ovens on the market? Then this Breville is one of the toaster ovens that you have to consider.
