Top Rated Cuisinart Bread Machines
Cuisinart CBK-100 Bread Maker
Everything started with the CBK-100 model which is the first one line, yet Cuisinart did really well and has got really positive feedback. That’s why we still love this model even though it’s been some time since it has been released, and there are newer models as well.
Programmable Cycles
Even though this bread maker is on a bigger side and you will definitely need to dedicate some space on the kitchen counter – this isn’t a negative thing to worry about.
With a large bucket and programmable cycles, you get to choose between 3 different loaf sizes. Therefore, you can always match loaf to the number of people you are expecting to serve.
With a simple press of a button, you can switch between 1 pound, 1-1/2 pound, and 2 pound loaf.
Durable & Useful Design
Cuisinart CBK-100 is made out of a stainless steel material which produces great durability. Also, this bread maker features a very useful design which is very easy to use and yet isn’t fragile as most of the other bread makers.
We especially liked the stay-cool handles which will never get hot, no matter how many hours have you been using the bread maker for.
Also, the viewing window is very well placed and it isn’t there just for fashion reasons. Inside, you will find that most of the accessories are removable, such as the baking pan, which ensures an easier cleanup.
Preprogrammed Menus
Depending on your liking, you will get to choose between 12 preprogrammed options on the menu. All you need is to find your favorite recipe and choose one of the settings that will be ideal for your desired bread type.
Also, you will get to enjoy 3 different crust settings and a 13-hour delay timer. If you have never used the timer on bread machine before, you’re missing out!
Who doesn’t like the fresh bread waiting for them right after you wake up in the morning?
Easy-to-Use Interface
Cuisinart featured a really simple and easy-to-use interface on the right side of the bread machine. And even though it takes the whole right side – you shouldn’t be scared of using this machine.
It features a small yet clear LCD screen and a few buttons. However, we liked the instructions and settings list displayed right in the panel.
Cuisinart CBK-110
CBK-110 is a model which came out just a little bit after the initial CBK-100 model. While both of these models are great, this version comes with some updates and is even made a bit more compact than the previous version.
Vertical Baking Design
As you could notice, the biggest difference between CBK-100 and CBK-110 lays in their design. CBK-110 introduces vertical baking design which places the pan in the vertical position and enables the same baking process to happen in such a position.
Cuisinart re-invented their technology to adapt it to this vertical design which doesn’t only save space on the kitchen countertop – but it also promises superior crust, color, and texture.
Surprisingly enough, you won’t sacrifice anything with yet more compact model as this bread machine can bake a 2 pound loaf, just like its previous “bigger” version.
Lid with Interior Light
Even though this is a compact version of the previous CBK-100 bread machine model, it still features a viewing lid that allows you to have a look throughout the process.
What is new is that Cuisinart placed an interior light that helps you to check bread as it bakes when you lack the natural light.
However, as you can expect, the viewing lid is a bit smaller and doesn’t offer as much as the previous model did.
Simplified Interface
This bread maker features 12 preprogrammed settings, with 3 crust control and a 13-hour delay timer – and yet it only features 6 buttons and a small LCD display.
Cuisinart kept the program listing on the bottom of the lid and has improved the use of the machine by reducing the number of buttons.
If you have never had a bread machine – you won’t have a problem learning your way (even without a manual).
Keep it Warm Function
One of the improvement is also the “keep it warm” function that can keep your bread warm until you take it out of the machine.
We love this feature because you can combine it with a delay timer, so you get to bake your bread while you sleep, and still have it warm for your breakfast.
Cuisinart CBK-200 Convection Bread Maker
The next Cuisinart model is CBK-200 which is a step-up from the CBK-100 and its sub-model. It offers more settings, supports low carb and gluten-free options, has a special menu, and much more.
16 Preprogrammed Settings
A big step-up happened in CBK-200 model where Cuisinart introduced 16 preprogrammed settings to choose from.
As usual, they’re listed on the interface next to the menu, which is something we really like.
There are also 3 crust colors, 3 loaf sizes (up to 2 lb) – but what’s interesting is it offers over 100 bread, pizza/dough, sweet cake, and jam choices.
Low-Carb and Gluten-Free Presets
Somewhere in between those 16 preprogrammed settings, you will find 2 settings which stand out since they’re written in bold – and they are low-carb and gluten-free settings.
Cuisinart also includes a few recipes suitable for these settings so if you have to pay attention to gluten or carb – this is an ideal bread machine for this.
Special Menu
Cuisinart went really far with their inventions and upgrades for this model. What we really liked was a special menu feature that can be chosen from the menu and yet it takes the basic dough through several long & slow cool rises.
This offers chewier textures with rustic crusts. This setting really improves the capability of a bread machine and it takes the choices to another level.
Convenction Air Circulation
For even heat dispersion and better cooking, Cuisinart added air circulation feature that can be seen in convection ovens.
Combine this with the crust & texture settings, and you will enjoy the extra-crusty texture much more than ever before.
Audible Tone & Fruit Dispenser
Since CBK-200 is full of new features, audible tone feature lets users know a few different timings when they can take action.
For example, you can get an audible tone to know when to take the unbaked dough that can then be shaped by hand, or when to dispense fruit, as this is another amazing feature available in CBK-200 bread maker.
Along with the fruit, you get to use nuts instead, for the dispenser.
Cuisinart CBK-200FR Convection Automatic Bread Machine
Just like the previous product, this is the same model but it’s an updated version with an FR mark. It is very similar to the CBK-200 model, which you can see down below.
Various Bread Combinations
With 3 crust colors to choose from, 3 loaf sizes, and 100 bread options, you will have plenty of bread combinations to choose from thanks to the 16 preinstalled presets in the menu.
Along with so many options to choose from, you will also have access to low carb and gluten-free bread type. All you need to do is follow Cuisinart’s recipe and choose one of these two options.
Audible Tone
Audible tone indication is added to hint users when to add mix-ins such as fruit or nuts from the dispenser. But the audible tone will also be played when the kneading process is finished or when the baking process is complete.
This is ideal for users who would like to just knead the dough and then take it from there. Also, it’s pretty useful to have an audible feature which will let you know when the bread machine needs your attention.
12-Hour Delay Start
Usually, Cuisinart features a 13-hour delay timer, but this model comes with a 12-hour delay timer, and we don’t see it making a big difference.
It’s still very reliable and you will still be able to start the process once you go to bed and wake up to a freshly baked bread.
Adjustable Convection Fan
Convection fan is the latest upgrade within the Cuisinart bread machines, and we have seen a huge difference since this feature rolled out.
Now, you get to adjust the convection fan speed to ensure the right crispiness and texture of your bread, but also make sure it’s evenly baked from all sides.
This is really important for a bread machine of this shape (rectangular).
Simple & Efficient Interface
Cuisinart has always been known for providing excellent service, and this really shows with the CBK-200FR interface.
It has a very easy to read and simple menu with only a few buttons around the small LCD display. This allows you to quickly set the baking process even if you absolutely had no prior experience with any other bread machine, let alone Cuisinart.
Cuisinart BMKR-220PC
If you think of a CBK-200 bread machine and you try to imagine a bit more compact and upgraded version, that’s exactly what you get with BMKR-220PC bread machine.
Design is very similar to the CBK-110 bread machine, but it’s far more improved. What’s interesting is that it still keeps a relatively affordable price.
Versatility
Even though this is a very compact bread machine that will fit on any kitchen counter, especially when you don’t have enough space – it is pretty versatile for its size.
This means you can bake anything from bread, dough, jam, or even bake your own handmade dough & batter.
This compact version comes with 12 preset settings instead of regular 16 settings, but you can still make wonders.
Increased Choices
You will still love the increased choices to choose from, whether it’s a crust color, loaf size, or a specific type of bread.
All you need have to do is decide on a recipe and let it take you from scratch to a wonderfully baked bread.
The main menu features different sort of options, where you get to choose from 12 options. These options even include whole wheat and gluten-free bread.
Useful Features
We really fell in love with the design of this bread machine since it’s compact, but has plenty to offer.
The viewing window isn’t quite big, but it’s very useful for people who love to check on their bread throughout the process.
On the side, you will find handles which are useful for lifting the lid as they never get hot throughout the baking process.
The small but mighty LCD screen is placed right in the middle of the bread maker, between the buttons so you can get great visuals that will guide you step-by-step through the use and process of choosing the settings.
Bread Options
From basic white bread to French or Italian, you will be able to make any bread you decide. There are also options to help you create whole wheat bread, sweet bread, gluten-free, or a packaged mix.
The choice is yours, and with a recipe – you will love the choices you have.
Conclusion
These are some of the best Cuisinart bread machines and depending on your needs, you will be able to benefit from any of these.
They come with pretty similar features and design but still have some significant differences. Therefore, we recommend you make sure you find a great fit for your needs before making a purchase.
Also, we would like to mention the excellent customer support Cuisinart provides, along with a pretty long warranty on every one of these models – which just backs up their quality standard.
