I bought the ham beach double waffle iron that flips and has removable plates. Tried it out a couple times, no problem. Was planning to give it as a gift to my son in law and family. Thank God I tried it once more! There is one big safety issue. The plate won’t stay latched and fell off when I opened to remove waffle! Very hot and dangerous. Plastic small latches like that are not reliable. Have you heard of this happening before?
