What else can you make in a bread maker?

There are a lot of other foods that you can make in your bread machine. Not just the traditional idea of grabbing your bread flour and making homemade bread, but really unique foods that are totally different than the typical bread machine recipe. Here they are!

Making Jam in a bread maker

Did you know you can use your bread machine to make jam? This is actually one of the easier recipes to make because almost every bread machine comes with a jam setting that makes this a very simple process.

Below is a very simple recipe for making delicious jam in your bread machine.

  • Fresh or frozen fruit
  • Sugar and a pinch of salt
  • Thickening agent
  • Food processor

Wash whatever fruit you’ve selected and put it into a food processor.

Making Rice Pudding in a bread maker

This one is one of my favorites, so I think it’s kind of crazy that you can make rice pudding in a bread machine!

Ginny’s has a very basic recipe to follow for this.

Basically, it involves eggs, milk, cooked rice, sugar, and cinnamon.

It uses the jam setting in the bread machine to heat up and mix the ingredients.

Most bread machines have a jam setting, which means that an entirely new world of foods is open to you.

Making rice in a bread maker

Of course you would be able to make rice, right? Since a bread machine is basically an oven that can heat and mix, rice dishes would be simple to make.

So don’t worry, don’t buy that rice cooker!

Thrifty Fun has a very simple and easy-to-follow recipe.

Making Pizza Dough or Pasta in a bread maker

Did you know you can use your bread machine to make pizza and pasta? Well, not exactly pizzas and pasta, but the dough for them.

That’s right! This is actually a very common bread machine recipe. You can use your bread machine to make pizza dough.

Almost all bread machines come with a special setting called the dough cycle.

This special setting means that you can take all of the ingredients in dough, put them in the bread machine, and have them kneaded and mixed.

Once it’s done, you take the dough out and then either form it into a pizza or begin making pasta.

Basically, the bread machine handles the kneading and rising, saving you a considerable amount of work.

What other things can you make in a bread machine?

A bread machine is such a handy kitchen appliance. It can do all the mixing, kneading, rising, and heating for you that you’re not limited to typical bread machine recipes.

Whether jam, cinnamon rolls, sweet breads, soup, peanut butter bread, banana bread, wheat bread, gluten-free bread, or even scrambled eggs.

Most recipes can probably be replicated in a bread machine. You’re only limited by your creativity!
